Learning with purpose

Built for the work you actually do.

For MEL practitioners, programme teams, evaluators and people building a career in development. Connect sound methods with everyday decisions: what to measure, whose voice to hear, what the evidence supports and what to do next.

Learn it. Try it. Put it to work.

Build understanding, practise with evidence and explain the judgement behind your decisions.

Understand the methods

Clear lessons and illustrated explanations connect monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to real programme questions.

Practise the decisions

Work through cases and interactive workshops. Check indicators, challenge assumptions, weigh evidence and see why an answer works.

Build work you can explain

Develop a portfolio of practical outputs, with evidence sources, limitations and accountable decisions made visible.

RESPONSIBLE AI, PRACTICAL MEL

Use AI thoughtfully.
Keep judgement human.

AI can help you organise, question and draft. Good MEL still depends on context, credible evidence and people who take responsibility for decisions.

Practise checking sources, spotting weak claims and protecting sensitive information. Make the limits of your analysis visible—and know when to stop and seek human review.

02 · Practise

Make decisions in realistic cases and interactive workshops. Use feedback to see what works and why.

03 · Reflect

Explain your choices, recognise limitations and build portfolio outputs you can adapt to your own work.

Before you get started

Who is MELcademy for?

MEL practitioners, programme teams, evaluators and people developing a career in development. The focus is on applying methods to real programme decisions.

Can I learn at my own pace?

Yes. Integrated MEL is a self-paced programme with lifetime access. Work through the seven courses in sequence and return to the materials when you need them.

How will I learn?

Through illustrated lessons, interactive workshops, case studies and portfolio tasks. The focus is active practice and reflection, rather than hours of video watching.

Will someone review my work?

MELcademy staff review portfolios and the capstone, with feedback within 72 hours. Completing activities is separate from a judgement of professional competence.

What is the launch offer?

The planned price is £159 for the first 30 days from Programme publication, then £249. A 30-day refund policy applies. Enrolment is not open yet.
